Our volunteers inspire and empower hundreds of women each year on their path to financial independence. Dress for Success Triangle could not exist without the dedicated support of our volunteers who deliver the majority of our services each year. 

Volunteer positions

Coaches
Career Coaches develop or edit resumes and cover letters, and prepare participants for interviews. Advanced computer skills are required.

Image Coaches help select professional clothing, accessories, and shoes.

Shifts are offered Monday-Thursday and some Saturdays.


Mock Interview Liaison
Be the liaison between the corporate partner, Dress for Success Triangle, and the affiliate participants. Help run the virtual mock interview sessions and provide background about the organization. Events are 90 minutes long. Knowledge of Zoom is required.

Online Networking Site Content Manager 
Spend three hours a month monitoring and interacting on our online networking site. Duties include welcoming guests, posting content, and engaging clients on the message boards. These tasks are guided and led by staff.

Wednesday Webinar Leader 
Lead a skill-building webinar by introducing the speaker, managing the chat box, and closing the session. Knowledge of virtual platforms is preferred, but training is provided. Webinars are at noon on Wednesdays; commit as your schedule allows.

Google IT Certificate Mentor

Mentor affiliate participants in completing the Google IT Professional Certificate program. You will be paired with one or more participants to provide encouragement and support as they work towards a certificate. Approximately 3-4 hours per month commitment. Mobile Boutique Coaches

Various roles include preparing the mobile boutique for event flow, registering and engaging participants to help them select appropriate professional attire, and providing education on affiliate opportunities. Meet the mobile boutique at the event; shifts run the event length and are usually 2 hours to 4 hours. Events take place in the Triangle and east of the Triangle.

Mobile Boutique Prep

Prepare mobile boutique for events by managing, selecting, loading (or unloading) appropriate professional inventory. Some staging is also required for marketing events. Shifts are 1 hour to 3 hours several times a month.


Boutique Sale Support
Boutique Sales are fundraising events where people shop for our cause. This is a great way to meet our clients, other volunteers, and staff members. Volunteers assist with store preparation, customer service, and the operation of the sale.

  • No training is required.

  • Minimum age is 18 years old or 13 with a parent/guardian.

Donation Center Specialist
Lead volunteers - Volunteer(s) willing to train with the Donation Manager to learn processes and be on-site to support other volunteers and groups. Lead the volunteers when management is not available.

Volunteers - Work in donation centers/offices to sort, tag, and organize clothing donations. Ensure clients have gorgeous clothes and feel empowered when they go to their interview or new job. Shifts are Tuesday through Thursday 10 am to 2 pm depending on which office you choose.


Outreach Events Representative
Represent Dress for Success Triangle NC at outreach events throughout the community to educate potential clients and volunteers about our services and ways to get involved.

Events could include staffing an outreach table or speaking to groups. Events may occur during weekdays, evenings, and weekends; commit as your schedule allows.
